Tracy Dean MSW, RSW
Tracy is an MSW social worker who provides therapy to adults, adolescents, couples, families and facilitates group. She has been in the addiction and mental health field since 1999 and loves working with people to assist them in finding joy and success in their lives. Tracy takes a collaborative approach to counselling to empower people to use their strengths and have the courage to build the lives they desire.
Tracy has a strong understanding of people struggling with emotional regulation, addiction, relationships, self-esteem, anxiety, stress management and problematic life patterns.
Tracy facilitates a DBT (Dialectical Behaviour Therapy) group and a DBT focused family support group at Cochrane Counselling Centre. She has an extensive background in addictions and mental health, and can provide addiction assessment and treatment planning as well as post treatment aftercare support. Tracy has training in various therapeutic approaches including Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, Relapse Prevention, Gottman’s Couples Method, and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy amongst others.
